Dairy-Free Chocolate Mousse

The secret to this Dairy-Free Chocolate Mousse may surprise you - avocados! Ripe avocados provide the perfect creamy, full-bodied texture needed for a chocolate mousse. Their high content of healthy fats is filling and satisfying, making this a perfect snack, dessert, or breakfast spread on toast.


Makes 4-6 servings


Ingredients


  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1/2 C cacao powder

  • 1/3 C maple syrup

  • 5 tbsp unsweetened nut milk (I used cashew but any type works)

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp creamy almond butter (or other nut butter of choice)


Directions


  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth

  2. chill in the fridge for 30 min then enjoy
